    Sinopsis
    ¿En qué estaba pensando Mark Whitacre? De medrar en el gigante de la industria agrícola Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), Whitacre (Matt Damon) pasa de repente a denunciar prácticas corruptas en su empresa. Mientras informa al FBI de la conspiración de su empresa para fijar precios a nivel multinacional, Whitacre se contempla a sí mismo aclamado como héroe y objeto de un ascenso. Pero antes de que suceda eso, el FBI necesita pruebas, así Whitacre se presta con entusiasmo a llevar una grabadora oculta en su maletín, y se imagina que es algo así como una especie de agente secreto.
    Desafortunadamente para el FBI, su testigo principal no ha sido muy comunicativo respecto a los detalles financieros de la empresa. El relato siempre cambiante de Whitacre frustra a los agentes (Scott Bakula y Joel McHale) y pone en riesgo el caso contra ADM, ya que resulta casi imposible descifrar lo que es verdad y lo que es fruto de la gran imaginación de Whitacre.
